I’m Yolène. I know what it feels like to stand in a Dutch supermarket and not understand the cashier. I know the hesitation before answering a colleague. I’ve been there.
That’s why my lessons are different. At Dutch with Yolène, you learn Dutch in a way that actually fits your life in the Netherlands – not the other way around. Step by step, we practise real situations: talking to your neighbour, sending an email to your child's school, explaining something at work, or asking for help at the pharmacy.
No stress. No overload of grammar rules that you forget the next day. Just clear explanations, friendly practice, and small, personal lessons where you are never rushed.
My goal is simple: to help you feel a little braver every week. Whether you are starting from absolute zero or working towards A1 or A2, you will find a warm learning environment here. Group courses, private lessons, or online – whatever suits you. You are always at the centre, not a textbook.
About me
Over mij
My name is Yolène. I was born in France, but I’ve lived in the Netherlands for more than 30 years. Learning Dutch as a foreigner wasn’t easy for me. It took time, patience, and a lot of courage to make mistakes.
Later, I started tutoring children, then ran after‑school homework classes, and eventually became an NT2 coach. That’s over 20 years of teaching experience.
What does that mean for you? It means I will never make you feel silly for not knowing a word. I will never rush you. I will explain things the way I once wished someone had explained them to me.
I work with internationals in the Brainport region – people who want to speak Dutch at work, in shops, at the doctor, or with their neighbours. My lessons are small, personal, and focused on real situations. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to try. And I will be right there with you.

Group courses
Small groups, calm pace, real topics. Together we practise things you actually do: groceries, phone calls, small talk at work. You learn from me and from each other. No one disappears in the back of the room. Location: Best.
Private lessons
Just you and me. We focus on what you personally find hard – pronunciation, listening, or maybe just daring to speak. Flexible scheduling. No fixed programme. Just your goals, at your speed. Location: Best.
Expat coaching
Language is more than words. I also help you understand Dutch habits, directness, and everyday culture – because I had to learn those too. For internationals who want to feel less like a guest and more like a neighbour.
Online lessons
From your home to mine – same friendly voice, same clear explanations. Warm, effective lessons through a screen. You only need a laptop and a quiet corner.

A personal note: I keep my groups small on purpose. That means I can really listen to you, answer
your questions, and adapt during the lesson. That’s what you’re paying for – not a certificate, but real
attention and real progress. If you’re not sure yet, we can always meet for a free intake first.

Group lessons are in Best, a short distance from Eindhoven. I choose the exact location based on the group size. For small groups, I work in a calm, homely setting – quiet, comfortable, and private. For larger groups, I book a suitable classroom in Best. You will never feel lost or overwhelmed by the space. After registration, I send you all practical details.
